I honour and acknowledge the ancestral lands on which we live, work, and create. These lands have been the home of Indigenous communities for thousands of years, whose deep connection to the earth, its ecosystems, and its creatures remains central to their cultures and traditions. I recognize the ongoing stewardship of these lands by Indigenous peoples, and I honour their continued resilience, knowledge, and practices. I express my gratitude to the the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, the Wendat peoples, and all Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island, past and present, for their enduring connection to the land and their role in the conservation efforts that shape our shared future. May our actions be mindful, our stories true, and our efforts sincere.
